How to learn from a mock test result
Admin1 November 2026 1 min read
A mock test is a measuring tool. The value comes from reviewing it, not from the score.
Sort your mistakes
Go through every wrong answer and tag it with one reason.
| Tag | Meaning | The fix |
|---|---|---|
| Did not understand | A vocabulary or listening problem | Read or listen more, review words |
| Chose the wrong option | A question-type problem | Practise that type |
| Ran out of time | A pacing problem | Timed sections |
| Careless error | Spelling, word limit or copying | A final checking routine |
Count the tags
Retake the weak part only
After a few days, redo just the section where you lost most marks, without looking at your earlier answers. If your score changes by one or two marks, the method worked.
