Band 7.0 answer
The maps illustrate the changes that took place in the village of Eastbrook between 1990 and the present day.
Overall, the village has become more built-up and more accessible, with new housing and a road bridge being the main developments.
In 1990, the land to the east of the river was farmland, but it has since been replaced by housing, which suggests that the population has grown. The primary school in the centre of the village has been enlarged, and the nearby post office has been converted into a cafe.
Transport links have also been improved. The old footbridge over the river has been demolished and replaced by a road bridge, which allows vehicles to cross. In the north-west, the woodland has been preserved, although a car park has been built beside it.
